Meet the Team

Oak Grove runs on people who chose this work — and stayed with it. Veterinarians with three decades in practice. Technicians who count their time here in years. A care team that knows your animals by name. Equine and small animal, one team, under one roof in Coweta since 1996.

Our Veterinarians

The doctors behind the hospital — equine led by Dr. Ross, small animal led by Dr. Holland and Dr. Cogswell.

JR

Dr. Jay Ross, DVM

Co-Founder · Equine Veterinarian

Dr. Ross co-founded Oak Grove in 1996 and leads its equine practice: reproduction — a program he has built for 30 years — sports medicine and lameness, dentistry, and boarding. If your mare is on the breeding shed schedule or your performance horse is in for work, he is the doctor behind the plan.

Dr. Holly Holland at Oak Grove Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Holly Holland, DVM

Co-Founder · Small-Animal Veterinarian

Born in Stillwater and raised in California, Dr. Holland came home to Oklahoma for veterinary school — a proud Oklahoma State Cowboy (Go Pokes!) who earned her DVM from the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She and Dr. Ross were married as they finished school, and the two of them left Stillwater for Coweta to establish Oak Grove Veterinary Hospital. Thirty years on, she leads the small-animal side of the practice with Dr. Cogswell — Fear Free trained and a certified senior care specialist, with a love for a hard case and for the senior patients that training serves.

Together they raised two kids in Coweta: Jaci, about a year from graduating from Michigan Law School, and Jake, on the same timeline toward his DMD at A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health in Kirksville, Missouri. Home is no quieter than the clinic — Dr. Holland is a livestock producer in her own right, with racehorses and foals she's raising to be future athletes, a cow-calf operation, three dogs (Lulu, Rousey, and Charlie), a small flock of ducks, and more horses than she'll admit to, all on their place in the Arkansas River bottoms — where, when she's not caring for Oak Grove's patients, the outdoors is exactly where she wants to be.

Dr. Faith Cogswell, DVM

Small-Animal Veterinarian

Dr. Cogswell cares for Oak Grove's dogs and cats alongside Dr. Holland — wellness and preventive care, surgery, dental, and senior care — with the same standard the hospital has kept since 1996.
